Large-Scale Site Development

Clearing, Excavation, Grading, Drainage & Structural Construction — Raw Land to Build-Ready Site, Managed by the Owner
One Team, Whole Site

From Raw Acreage to Build-Ready Ground — Handled as One Project

Large-scale site development is the work that decides whether everything built afterward succeeds: clearing, excavation, rough and finish grading, drainage infrastructure, retaining structures, access roads, and stabilization. Angelo Santucci Inc. has delivered this work across MetroWest Massachusetts since 1960, and we deliver it as a single coordinated scope rather than a patchwork of specialty subcontractors.

The Sequence

How We Develop a Site

01
01
Step 01

Plan Review & Mobilization

We review civil engineering plans, walk the site with the owner, establish erosion controls, and hold a pre-construction meeting with all stakeholders — including the conservation commission where applicable — before equipment arrives.

02
02
Step 02

Clearing & Selective Removal

Tree removal, stump grinding, demolition, and debris hauling, with trunk guards and root-zone fencing for preserved trees and removal plans coordinated with local conservation commissions.

03
03
Step 03

Earthwork & Grading

Cut-and-fill to design elevations with GPS-guided equipment and compaction testing at specified lifts, managing import and export as the soil balance requires.

04
04
Step 04

Drainage, Utilities & Structure

Storm drains, detention systems, utility trenching, and retaining structures installed and documented with as-built measurements before backfill, all founded on properly prepared ground.

05
05
Step 05

Final Grade, Stabilize & Handoff

Finish grading, stabilization seeding or sod on disturbed areas, and a final erosion-control inspection — the site handed off build-ready with full compliance documentation.

"Angelo Santucci Inc. treats every project like it is their only project — because it is. That one-job-at-a-time approach shows in the quality of the finished grade and the condition of the site at handoff."
