Foundation Plantings
The beds immediately surrounding your home — the plants visitors see first. We design foundation plantings that frame architecture without obscuring it, using layered compositions of evergreen structure shrubs, flowering specimens, and perennial accents that provide year-round interest and seasonal color.
Mixed Borders
Deep beds combining shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, and groundcovers. These are the backbone of designed gardens — providing structure through winter, peak color in summer, and textural interest year-round. We design borders for continuous bloom with overlapping flowering periods from April through October.
Specimen Tree Installation
Large-caliper trees that provide immediate presence and mature form. We source trees from wholesale nurseries across New England, selecting for form, health, and root structure. Proper installation includes root ball handling, planting depth, staking when necessary, and establishment watering programs.

From Design to Established Landscape

Step 01
Site Assessment
The owner walks your property to understand existing conditions, your vision, and any constraints. For transplanting projects, we evaluate the health and moveability of existing plants.

Step 02
Design Development
We develop planting plans showing species, quantities, and placement. Plant selection balances your preferences with site suitability, maintenance requirements, and budget. For transplanting, we determine optimal timing and methods.

Step 03
Bed Preparation
Excavation, soil amendment based on test results, grading for drainage, and edging installation. For transplanting, we prepare the receiving hole before moving the plant.

Installation
Plants are installed at proper depth with appropriate spacing. Large trees require mechanical handling. Transplants are moved with intact root balls and immediately replanted and watered.

Establishment & Care
Mulching, initial deep watering, and care instructions. For transplants and large specimens, we schedule follow-up visits to monitor establishment and adjust care as needed.
